First Financial Security, Inc. would like to thank everyone who tuned in to make our first virtual JumpStart event an immense success this past Saturday. While last year was a sold-out show in Atlanta, this year our agents showcased their achievements and adaptability to an audience across the country. 2020 was a year of change for all of us and we highlighted our new FFS headquarters at the very start of JS21. We cannot wait to host you all there in person.
JumpStart 2021 was all about making an impact. We heard from top leaders about their business strategies and how to make an impact in your community. New associates highlighted the power of the FFS Business Building System, the advantage of FFS administrative support, and their incredible success even after a short time.
Our leaders shared how the FFS opportunity has changed their lives and the lives of others. Mai Yia Yang and Seng Xiong opened our event with their powerful journey of immigration and perseverance with FFS. Through our opportunity, they learned English and built a sustainable business that has become their American dream. Chi Luu shared she was able to weather the pandemic and stay home with her children while earning a steady income with FFS. Brandi Bridgett described how the hardships of 2020 emphasized the importance of our mission to provide financial security and peace of mind to all people.
We not only heard motivating personal stories, but also key ways the FFS system has worked for our leaders. Mark and Bridget Biermann spoke on how to perfect a business model that adapts to the new virtual aspects of the industry while still improving and growing in 2021. Dah Htoo emphasized the importance of using the coaching sessions built into our Success Tracks™ curriculum for the success of all agents.
The biggest impact JumpStart has on our agents is motivation. This event sets the tone for the year and our speakers did not disappoint. Shirley Luu encouraged us to build resilience and push forward in 2021. “People need life insurance, people need retirement, people need money,” she said. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to help a lot of folks.” Javier Rodriguez dropped in to remind us that 2021 can be a big year for those who are willing to make the best of it — particularly by building successful habits and empowering communities with our exciting opportunity and protective products.
We recognized so many incredible achievements, from our newest Quality Associates to our FFS Milestones achievers. Corey Vuu and Victoria Le reminded us why we are in this industry: “More than ever people need the protection that we provide,” Victoria offered, while Corey added, “There’s not a single day that goes by that I’m not grateful for this incredible opportunity that allows us to truly make as much as we want as long as we’re willing to work hard for it.” Shortly after their speech, Corey, Victoria, and their Team Resilience won the Leadership Cup for the second time. We would like to congratulate them as we appreciate their hard work.
Congratulations as well to the hard work of Team Thaitans and EFC Thai Thao, who won the EFC Cup. Thai received the cup on behalf of the team, then delivered the last presentation of the conference, reminding agents that this business is recession-proof as long as they keep up their resilience and use important resources such as Success Tracks — which is “the best thing that ever happened to FFS…Success is out there, but we have to go out there and get it.”
Finally, CEO Phil Gerlicher stepped out to deliver an inspiring farewell to JumpStart 2021 and an encouraging word as we look forward to 2021. He likened 2020 to a storm everyone had to weather, thanking every single agent for their dedication and pointing toward the brightness on the horizon as vaccines become available and new opportunities present themselves in 2021 — because the clearest day always comes in the wake of a storm.
